The Courtroom as a Commercial Theatre
The Courtroom as a Commercial Theatre
Following on from our last blog, where we revealed how simply stating your name and date of birth reaffirms your contract with the system, we now take centre stage — literally — in one of the most controlled and symbolic environments of all: the courtroom.
But here’s the secret: the courtroom isn’t what you think it is. It’s not a place of neutral justice. It’s not even the room you walk into. In commercial law, the “court” is the paperwork. The venue — with its robes, rituals, and raised platforms — is just the theatre where the presumption is played out.
๐ญ Court as Commerce
The legal system, especially in statutory courts, operates like a business. It functions under admiralty or maritime jurisdiction — a system based on commerce, not common law.
The roles are commercial:
- The judge is the administrator or banker
- The clerk is the registrar of the transaction
- The prosecutor is the creditor or claimant
And you? You’ve been cast as the Trustee, unless you can prove otherwise by correcting your status and standing.
๐งพ Summoned into a Role
You are never invited to court. You are summoned, just like a fictional character in a story.
The court isn’t addressing the living man or woman - it’s calling the legal fiction tied to your ALL CAPS NAME.
When you “appear” and identify as that name, you step into the Trustee role. The moment the judge says, “Do you understand?”, they’re really asking, “Do you stand under this jurisdiction?”
๐ฃ️ Words as Triggers
Language is everything in the commercial courtroom. Words like:
- Appear = to take liability
- Person = legal fiction
- Submit = to accept the authority of the court
- Represent = you are acting for someone else (your Strawman)
Silence is also agreement. If you do not challenge the assumptions, the script continues without interruption.
๐ Change the Script
Understanding that the “court” is the paperwork, not the venue, gives you new leverage. The real action begins before you even arrive, when the paperwork is served and responded to.
Claiming your role as Executor or Beneficiary rather than Trustee shifts the balance of power. The system relies on you accepting your role without question, and it crumbles when you don’t.
๐ฅ A Legal Play — With Real Stakes
Every case is theatre. The robes, the gavel, the standing and sitting — it’s all symbolic. But the consequences are real. Understanding the performance allows you to act with knowledge, not fear.
You’re not here to play their part. You’re here to claim your own.

The words used in courtrooms are not accidental. They’re calculated, loaded, and commercial. That’s why I created the Legal Fictions Glossary — your decoder for the courtroom script.
