The Strawman – Why Your Legal Name Isn’t You
Following on from my previous blog where we
explored how your birth certificate isn’t a celebration of life but a
registration of legal fiction — we now go deeper into the entity it created:
your Strawman.
This isn't a metaphor. It's an administrative construct created through
paperwork — and it changes everything about how you're treated by the system.
The Birth Certificate: Life or Death?
The birth certificate we all take for
granted isn't a certificate of life. Legally, it's closer to a certificate of
death — the registration of a vessel, not a living being.
It's created by the registrar, handed to your parents without them realising
what just occurred: the creation of a corporate person in the form of your NAME
IN ALL CAPS.
Even more telling, many birth certificates
include this phrase: “This certificate is not evidence of the identity of the
person presenting it.”
Why? Because the certificate doesn’t belong to the living you. It belongs to
the strawman — the trust, the legal person, the corporate fiction. It is in
fact crown copyright.
What is the Strawman?
This strawman is a legal persona — created
when your birth was registered, not recorded. It's defined by:
• Your family name/surname in ALL CAPS
• A birth registration number (your
tracking ID in commerce)
• Legal responsibilities that you, the
living man or woman, are presumed to accept
This isn’t you. It’s a role created by the state to interact with their system
— because their system only deals with entities, not sentient individuals.
Here's how it works:
• The system requires a person to assign
liabilities, collect taxes, and issue contracts
• So it creates one for you at birth — your
strawman
• By default, you're tricked into acting as
its trustee, taking on all the burdens
But when you learn the truth, you can reclaim your role as the executor — the
one in charge.
Contracts, courts, and commerce
When fines, court orders, and debts arrive
— they're addressed to your strawman.
And if you don’t challenge the assumption,
your silence is taken as agreement: you accept the liability, the role, and the
consequence.
This is the backbone of the corporate legal system. It only works when you
believe the fiction is real.
Want clarity?
See past the illusion
You are not a vessel.
You are not the paperwork.
You are the living man or woman — sovereign, sentient, and no longer asleep.
